Role & Company / Project Overview: Urgent hiring for a JS4 – Lead Data Center Optical Engineer with a leading client in New Albany, Ohio. This senior role oversees complex optical transport infrastructure, remote hands activities, and technical quality standards. Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties: • Lead and perform optical fibre installations, complex migrations, remediation, break/fix, and remote hands support. • Conduct comprehensive optical testing and verification. • Audit, guide, and oversee third-party technicians. • Interpret network diagrams, engineering blueprints, and MOPs to ensure strict compliance with high-quality execution standards. • Provide team leadership and handle direct customer interaction. Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience: • 3–15 years of data center operations or optical infrastructure experience. • Proven team leadership and direct customer interaction track record. • Hands-on expertise in fibre installations, migrations, remediation, break/fix, remote hands, and optical testing. • Demonstrated ability to audit third-party technicians and interpret network diagrams, engineering documents, and MOPs. • U.S. Work Authorization: No visa sponsorship provided (H-1, H-1B1, E-3, O-1, TN, F-1 CPT, or EAD not eligible). Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details: • Location: New Albany, Ohio. • Shifts: Open to shift work (Morning: 6:30 AM – 3:30 PM, Afternoon/Evening: 3:30 PM – 10:30 PM). • Travel: Willingness to travel between data center sites in the region for multi-week assignments.
