Role & Company / Project Overview: Nokia is hiring for a Staff PIC RF Test Development Engineer (Requisition #40969) based in Sunnyvale and San Jose, California. The role supports next-generation optical networking technologies and focuses on advancing high-speed optical communications, Photonic Integrated Circuits (PIC), and RF testing. Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties: • Lead and execute RF and high-speed test development for Photonic Integrated Circuits (PIC) and optical networking hardware. • Develop automated test benches, calibration routines, and characterization suites for optical and RF components. • Collaborate with PIC design, packaging, and manufacturing teams to ensure test coverage and yield improvement. • Analyze test data, diagnose high-frequency signal integrity issues, and drive continuous yield enhancements in optical transceivers and PIC modules. Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience: • Hands-on expertise in Photonic Integrated Circuits (PIC), Silicon Photonics, and III-V Technologies. • In-depth background in Optical Communications & Networking and RF / High-Speed Test Engineering. • Experience with optical architecture, high-frequency test methodologies, and yield improvement.
