Job description

• Role & Company / Project Overview Tychoflash (Pty) Ltd is seeking a dedicated Safety Officer to ensure the highest safety, health, and environmental compliance standards across its mining operations. • Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties - Conduct routine safety audits, risk assessments, and site inspections across mining sections. - Monitor compliance with statutory mining safety regulations and internal operating procedures. - Investigate incidents, near-misses, and safety deviations, preparing formal reports and corrective action plans. - Facilitate safety inductions, toolbox talks, and maintain statutory safety documentation. • Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience - Relevant Safety Management qualification / certification (e.g., COMSOC, SAMTRAC, or equivalent mining safety credential). - Previous safety officer experience within the mining sector. - Comprehensive knowledge of mining legislation, health and safety acts, and risk mitigation. - Excellent communication, inspection, and reporting skills. • Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details - Locations: Rustenburg and Brits, North West Province, South Africa. • Application Instructions - Email updated CV to the designated recruitment email with the position title in the subject line.
