Role & Company / Project Overview: MS General Contractor is looking for a skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Karachi. Join MS General Contractor and become part of a team delivering quality residential, commercial, and interior fit-out projects across Pakistan. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in quantity take-offs, BOQ preparation, cost estimation, rate analysis, billing, and cost control for residential, commercial, and interior fit-out construction projects. Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties: • Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for civil, architectural, interior fit-out, finishing, and MEP works. • Perform accurate quantity take-offs from architectural, structural, and MEP drawings. • Prepare project cost estimates, budgets, and detailed rate analyses. • Prepare and verify contractor, subcontractor, and vendor bills. • Conduct market rate analysis and material cost comparisons. • Monitor project costs, material consumption, and budget variations. • Prepare variation orders, additional work estimates, and revised BOQs. • Verify site measurements and reconcile executed quantities with approved BOQs. • Assist in tender preparation, quotation evaluation, and procurement negotiations. • Maintain cost reports, billing records, and project documentation. • Coordinate with project managers, site supervisors, consultants, and procurement teams. Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience: • Education: Bachelor's degree or DAE in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field. • Experience: 3–5 years of relevant experience in construction estimation and quantity surveying. • Strong proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and quantity estimation tools. • Excellent understanding of construction drawings, BOQs, specifications, and material requirements. • Practical knowledge of Karachi construction market rates, labour costs, and material pricing. • Experience in residential, commercial, and interior fit-out projects will be preferred. • Strong analytical, numerical, organisational, and communication skills.
