• Role & Company / Project Overview Meinhardt Pakistan is seeking a competent, experienced, and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join their team for a high-impact building project in Karachi. The role involves contributing to complex construction consultancy projects through excellence in cost management and quantity surveying. • Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties - Cost estimation, cost control, cost planning, and contract administration. - Preparation of Bill of Quantities (BoQ) and contract management. - Rate analysis, rate assessment, and preparation and analysis of rates for various construction items. - On-site quantity measurement and preparation of take-off sheets. - Effectively manage variations, claims, and cost control throughout project execution. - Manage multiple contractors and ensure compliance with construction contracts. - Deliver thorough documentation, reporting, and analytical assessments. • Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience - Qualification: DAE or B.Tech in Civil Engineering or a relevant discipline. - 10+ years of relevant professional experience in quantity surveying, preferably in a multinational organization or firm. - Demonstrated strong capabilities in cost management, cost estimation, and contract administration. - Strong experience in quantity surveying specifically for building and construction projects. - Proficient in BoQ preparation, cost planning, cost control, and contract management. - Familiarity with AutoCAD and quantity estimation software. - Good understanding of construction contracts and ability to manage multiple contractors. - Ability to effectively manage variations, claims, and cost control. - Strong analytical, documentation, and reporting skills. - Experience in rate assessment, on-site quantity measurement, and preparation of take-off sheets. - Good knowledge of the market rate system. • Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details - Location: Karachi, Pakistan (On-site building project). • Compensation & Benefits - Salary: Market-based remuneration. • Application Instructions - Interested candidates are invited to send their updated CV with the subject line 'Quantity Surveyor - Karachi'.
