Free job matching

Upload your resume and find the jobs that match it

Searching means guessing the words an employer used. You type “delivery driver”, the advert says “rider”, and you never see it. Upload your resume instead and it does the searching — every open job, ranked by how closely it fits what you have actually done.

What is a good ATS score?

0–59 · something structural is broken60–79 · readable, missing keywords80–100 · ready to send
Aim for 80

Below 60 there is normally something structural wrong: contact details trapped in an image, a two-column template the parser reads out of order, or missing dates and job titles. Between 60 and 80 the document parses correctly but is missing the keywords the job description uses, so it ranks below candidates who used the employer’s own wording. Above 80, the remaining gains come from tailoring it to each specific job.

What the resume checker looks at

Contact details

A phone number, email, and city in the body text — not locked inside a header, footer, or image an ATS cannot read.

Core sections

A clear work experience, education, and skills section with headings the parser recognises.

Job titles and dates

Every role with a title, an employer, and start and end dates that line up into a work history.

Keyword match

Wording that matches the job you are targeting — licence codes, tools, certifications, and languages included.

Formatting

Tables, text boxes, multi-column layouts, and graphics that scramble the extracted text.

Length and readability

The right length for your experience, written in short, scannable bullet points.

Resume and CV tips by job type

Roles are shortlisted on very specific details, and generic templates leave those out. That is the most common reason a strong candidate gets no reply.

Frequently asked questions

How do I find jobs by uploading my resume?

Sign in, upload your resume or CV as a PDF or Word file, and ApnaWorker compares it against every open job on the site. The matching jobs appear on the same page within seconds, ranked by how closely each one fits your experience. You do not search or type anything: the resume is the search.

How is the match score worked out?

Your resume and each job advert are turned into a numerical representation of their wording, and the score is how close those two are. It reads the whole document, so a resume that says Python, FastAPI and PostgreSQL matches a backend job that never uses those exact words in the same order. Scores between two different kinds of document sit lower than people expect: 70 and above is a strong match, and the very best matches usually land in the mid-seventies.

Can I see only jobs in my city or only work from home?

Yes. The matches can be filtered to any city, state or country on the job board, or to work-from-home roles only, and you can show 10, 25 or 50 at a time. Remote jobs are only counted as reachable when they are in your own country, because the right to work is what decides that, not the internet.

What is an ATS resume score?

An ATS resume score estimates how well an applicant tracking system can read and rank your resume. It looks at whether the software can extract your contact details, work history, education, and skills, and whether your wording matches the job you are applying for. A low score usually means a recruiter never sees the resume at all.

What is a good resume score?

Aim for 80 or above. Below 60 usually means something structural is wrong, such as contact details inside a header image, a two-column layout the parser scrambles, or missing job titles and dates. Between 60 and 80 the resume is readable but is missing keywords from the job description.

Is the resume checker free?

Yes. Checking your resume or CV on ApnaWorker is free with an ApnaWorker account. You get one free check a week, so fix everything the report lists before you run the next one.

Which file formats can I upload?

PDF, DOC, and DOCX up to 2 MB. Send a PDF when the employer does not ask for a specific format, because it keeps your layout intact across devices.

Does this work for a CV as well as a resume?

Yes. Resume and CV mean the same document in most hiring markets, including South Africa, the United Kingdom, the UAE, and India. The same checks apply to both.

Do I need a resume for a driver, delivery, or cleaning job?

A short one-page CV helps in every one of those roles. For driving work, list your licence code, years behind the wheel, the vehicle types you have driven, and your route areas. For delivery, cleaning, security, and helper roles, list shift availability, the areas you can travel to, and any training. Employers shortlist on those specifics.
