Last updated: June 1, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how ApnaWorker collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you visit or use https://www.apnaworker.com. It also explains your privacy choices and rights. Please read it before creating an account or publishing information.

1. Scope & Account Consent

This Policy applies to visitors, workers, recruiters, employers, and other account holders worldwide. You must accept the current Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy before using account-only features, including when you sign up or sign in with Google. Optional analytics, session recording, and advertising-related technologies are handled separately through Your Privacy Choices.

2. Information We Collect

  • Account information: Name, email address, profile picture, user ID, login provider details, and account acceptance records.
  • Worker profile information: Phone number, city or location, skills, category, qualifications, languages, bio, experience, rates, availability, photos, and other information you submit.
  • Recruiter and employer information: Job title, description, location, budget, contact details, and other information added to a job post or account.
  • Technical and usage information: IP address, browser or device information, referring pages, timestamps, logs, and security events. If you accept optional technologies, we may also collect analytics events, page interactions, and session recordings.
  • Communications: Messages, reports, support requests, and privacy requests you send to us.

3. How We Use Information & Legal Bases

Depending on the law that applies, we process personal information to perform our agreement with you, comply with law, protect legitimate interests, and obtain consent where required. We use information to:

  • Create accounts, authenticate users, operate profiles, publish jobs, and connect workers with recruiters or employers.
  • Display information that you choose to publish and provide controls to update or remove it.
  • Prevent fraud, investigate misuse, secure the platform, and enforce our Terms.
  • Respond to support, legal, and privacy requests.
  • Improve the platform and measure usage when optional analytics are allowed.
  • Show third-party advertisements when optional advertising-related technologies are allowed.

4. Public Profiles, Job Posts & Contact Visibility

ApnaWorker is a public marketplace. Please do not publish information unless you are authorized and comfortable sharing it.

  • Workers: When you activate a worker listing, profile details may appear publicly in the worker directory and on profile pages. This may include your name, location, skills, rates, availability, bio, and other submitted details. Contact details, including your phone number, may be displayed or revealed so users can contact you.
  • Recruiters and employers: Job posts may publicly show the description, location, budget, and any contact details you provide.
  • Information visible to another person may be copied, saved, shared, or captured in screenshots. ApnaWorker cannot control another person's use of information after they receive it.
  • Workers can remove their listing from the directory from the dashboard and edit or remove contact details from the profile editor.

5. Cookies, Analytics, Session Recording & Advertising

We use essential browser storage for login, security, and your saved privacy choice. Optional technologies are disabled unless you accept them. When accepted, ApnaWorker may use Google Analytics, PostHog analytics and session recording, and third-party advertising scripts. These services may collect identifiers, device information, usage events, page interactions, cookies, or similar technologies according to their own policies.

You can accept or decline optional technologies at any time on Your Privacy Choices. Where supported, we also treat an enabled Global Privacy Control browser signal as a request to disable optional technologies.

6. How We Share Information

We may share information as follows:

  • With visitors and users when you publish a worker listing, job post, or other public content.
  • With hosting, database, authentication, security, support, and other service providers that help operate ApnaWorker.
  • With Google when you choose Google sign-in, subject to Google's policies.
  • With analytics and advertising providers when you allow optional technologies.
  • When required by law, or when reasonably necessary to investigate misuse, protect safety, enforce our Terms, or respond to legal requests.
  • As part of a merger, financing, acquisition, or transfer of assets, subject to applicable law.

We do not sell personal information for money. Some optional disclosures may be treated as a "sale," "sharing," or targeted advertising under certain privacy laws. You can opt out through Your Privacy Choices.

7. International Data Transfers

ApnaWorker is designed for users in multiple countries. Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including where our service providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate contractual, technical, or organizational safeguards for international transfers.

8. Retention & Security

We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the platform, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and maintain security records. Retention periods vary by data type and purpose. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.
