We are actively looking for an experienced Principal Java Backend Software Engineer to join a high-impact engineering team. You will design and develop scalable backend applications, lead architecture for microservices and distributed systems, mentor engineering teams and conduct code reviews, build secure high-performance REST APIs, collaborate with DevOps to improve reliability and automation, and drive engineering best practices, compliance, and technical excellence. Must have 15+ years of Java backend development experience with expertise in Spring Boot, REST APIs, Microservices, AWS, Apache Kafka, CI/CD, and secure coding. Only USC candidates will be considered. This is a contract-based remote position.
