We are hiring a Java Engineer with strong backend development and troubleshooting skills to build, support, and optimize enterprise-grade Java applications in a dynamic production environment. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining enterprise Java applications, writing and optimizing SQL queries using JDBC, analyzing application logs, debugging production issues, collaborating with development and support teams, participating in code reviews and SDLC activities, monitoring application performance, working with CI/CD pipelines and deployment tools, supporting production releases and ongoing maintenance, and documenting technical solutions and best practices. Must-have skills: strong Java development experience, strong SQL and Java JDBC knowledge, application log analysis and debugging expertise, production support and troubleshooting experience, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, experience working in enterprise Java environments, good understanding of SDLC methodologies, and excellent communication and collaboration skills. Nice-to-have skills include NATS, Apache Kafka, Jenkins, Splunk, Dynatrace, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, Docker, Chef Infra, Chef Habitat, Shell Scripting, Unix/Linux, Jira, and experience with Mastercard applications.
