### Role & Company / Project Overview Synstack Technologies is actively seeking a Core Network Integration Engineer specializing in Convergent Charging for 4G/5G networks. This is a 100% remote opportunity open to engineers anywhere in the USA or Canada who possess core telecom knowledge alongside modern deployment capabilities. ### Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties • Implement, integrate, and test Convergent Charging systems (CHF / CCS) in 5G SA and 4G environments. • Configure rating and balance management functions. • Work with charging interfaces and protocols including Gy, Gz, Ro, Rf, and Nchf (Service-Based Interface). • Support billing, mediation, and CRM integration workflows. • Author and execute CIQ, MOP, HLD, and LLD documentation. • Perform bare-metal, VNF, and CNF software rollouts on Kubernetes, Docker, OpenStack, and VMware. • Carry out ATP execution, pre/post-change checks, and end-to-end service validation. • Troubleshoot complex signaling, charging, and protocol failures using Wireshark and trace logs. • Create automation workflows using Python, Bash, and Ansible. • Report status and progress directly to customer technical teams. • Participate in scheduled maintenance window operations as needed. ### Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience • In-depth expertise in Convergent Charging Systems (CCS/CHF), rating engines, and account balance management. • Detailed knowledge of charging protocols and interfaces: Gy, Gz, Ro, Rf, and Nchf. • Experience integrating charging solutions with billing, mediation, and CRM systems. • Practical experience in deploying VNFs/CNFs on Kubernetes, Docker, OpenStack, or VMware. • Scripting and automation proficiency using Python, Bash, and Ansible. • Strong packet-level analysis and troubleshooting skills using Wireshark. • Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills. ### Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details • Location: 100% Remote (Open across the USA and Canada). • Shifts: Regular hours with on-call or scheduled support during maintenance windows. ### Compensation & Benefits • Compensation not specified in posting (Positions open for C2C, contract, W2, and full-time). ### Application Instructions • Please forward your resume to the designated recruiter email address.
