We are looking for an experienced Performance Tester to join our team in Toronto, Ontario. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in performance testing tools, workload modeling, test scripting, and performance analysis for web-based and enterprise applications. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and execute performance, load, stress, endurance, and scalability tests. Create workload models and performance test strategies based on business requirements. Analyze application performance bottlenecks and provide recommendations for optimization. Develop and maintain performance test scripts using LoadRunner VuGen and JMeter. Monitor application and infrastructure performance during test execution. Work closely with development, QA, and infrastructure teams to identify and resolve performance issues. Prepare detailed performance test reports and present findings to stakeholders. Support performance testing activities throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Participate in release readiness assessments and production performance validation. Required Skills & Qualifications: 6–8 years of experience in Performance Testing. Strong hands-on experience with HP LoadRunner (Mercury) and Apache JMeter. Expertise in VuGen scripting and script enhancement. Strong understanding of Workload Modeling and Performance Engineering concepts. Experience with Performance Center. Expertise with JIRA and ALM for test management and defect tracking. Strong SQL skills with the ability to write and optimize complex queries. Extensive experience testing internet-facing, web-based, and backend enterprise applications. Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC methodologies. Experience analyzing performance metrics, logs, and system resource utilization. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Preferred Skills: Experience with performance monitoring tools. Knowledge of cloud-based application performance testing. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
