This position is for a Senior Database Administrator with strong expertise in Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance, SQL Server on Azure VMs, Azure Data Lake, Azure Storage, Databricks Lakehouse, and Azure Data Factory. The role involves database design, implementation, migration, modernization, performance tuning, query optimization, indexing, troubleshooting, and implementing High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR). The candidate must have 7-10+ years of Database Administration experience, strong Azure PaaS & IaaS database administration experience, and knowledge of Azure AD, RBAC, TDE, security, compliance, and governance. Experience with Data Warehouse, Data Lake, and Lakehouse environments and Public Sector / Ontario Public Service (OPS) experience is preferred.
