We are seeking a detail-oriented MDS Coordinator for a full-time position based in South Mountain, Maryland. In this role, you will ensure accurate and timely MDS assessments, review PDPM classifications, and support staff with up-to-date Medicare guidelines. Key responsibilities include reviewing clinical documentation and hospital records for compliance with CMS regulations, validating Patient-Driven Payment Model information for accuracy and reimbursement optimization, evaluating care quality for long-term care residents, completing and submitting MDS assessments in compliance with state and federal regulations, maintaining knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid criteria, and providing training on regulatory changes. Qualifications include a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse license, at least 2 years of long-term care experience preferably with MDS coordination, strong knowledge of MDS 3.0, PDPM, and CMS guidelines, proficiency in electronic medical records, and excellent communication skills.
