We are hiring for an experienced UNIX/AIX Administrator to join our team in Pune. This role involves deep expertise in IBM Power Systems administration including installation, configuration, and management of UNIX/AIX operating systems. Key responsibilities include managing user accounts, permissions, filesystem structures, security policies, performing OS upgrades, patches, TL/SP updates, and firmware updates. You will monitor and optimize system performance (CPU, Memory, I/O, Network), troubleshoot OS-level and hardware issues, manage LPARs, DLPAR operations, VIOS environment, and work with HMC, PowerVC, and PowerVM ecosystems. Additional duties include managing NIM server, LPP sources, SPOTs, mksysb backups, network installs, configuring JFS2 file systems, volume groups, disks, SAN storage mapping, implementing AIX security hardening, RBAC, sudoers, system backups/restores (TSM), and participating in on-call support rotation. The candidate must have 2+ years of hands-on UNIX/AIX administration experience, strong skills in shell scripting (ksh/bash) for automation, and familiarity with performance tools like nmon, topas, vmstat, iostat, sar, and perfpmr. The role requires a proactive infrastructure specialist capable of handling critical production systems independently, willing to work from the Pune office and attend a face-to-face interview within 2-3 days. Immediate to 30 days notice period is required.
