### Role & Company / Project Overview Skyler Info Systems is hiring a Senior Data Engineer – Databricks Specialist for a long-term contract role based out of Princeton, NJ. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced data engineering professional with deep Databricks and Life Sciences domain experience. ### Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties • Architect, build, and optimize robust ETL/ELT data pipelines using Databricks and Apache Spark. • Design, implement, and maintain scalable Delta Lake and Lakehouse architectures. • Handle end-to-end data modeling, performance tuning, and distributed data processing workloads. • Integrate data solutions with Snowflake and major cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP). • Enforce strict data governance, data security standards, and comprehensive data quality checks. • Implement and maintain deployment automation, version control, and CI/CD pipelines utilizing Git. ### Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience • 10+ years of overall IT experience. • Strong hands-on experience with Databricks and Apache Spark. • Mandatory Life Sciences domain experience. • Candidate Location Requirement: Candidates must currently be based in New Jersey, New York, or the Tri-State area. • Must-Have Technical Skills: - Databricks & Apache Spark - Python, PySpark & SQL - ETL/ELT Pipeline Development - Snowflake & Cloud Platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP) - Delta Lake & Lakehouse Architecture - Data Modeling & Performance Tuning - Distributed Data Processing - Data Governance, Security & Data Quality - Git, CI/CD & Deployment Automation ### Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details • Location: Princeton, New Jersey (Candidate must reside in NJ, NY, or Tri-State area). • Duration: Long-Term Contract. • Interview Availability: Immediate interview availability required (tomorrow & next week). ### Compensation & Benefits • Long-term contract rate commensurate with senior-level experience. ### Application Instructions • Please submit your resume via email to be scheduled for interviews.
