The Commercial Manager at Pacific Towing drives the strategic growth and profitability of Melanesia's leading marine services provider. This role is responsible for securing and managing long-term contracts across our core harbour towage operations, while expanding our footprint in salvage, ocean towage, and commercial diving activities. The role will support pricing decisions, administer customer contracts, oversee tender responses, and cultivate critical partnerships with key stakeholders, port authorities, and corporate clients. At the heart of this role is a commitment to anticipating client needs and consistently delighting them with reliable, top-tier service. In performing these activities, this role will be supporting our continued growth, our ongoing fleet renewal program, and our mission to keep PNG and Melanesian harbours efficient, safe, and clean. Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, statistics, maritime studies or a related field; excellent communication, presentation, and persuasion skills; strong business acumen; contract management expertise; strong knowledge of financial principles; advanced Excel and data analysis skills; minimum 5+ years of commercial/maritime industry experience in Papua New Guinea or Oceania; background in marine logistics, towage, port agency, or port authority; and preferably an industry profile with a trusted network.
