A leading Facility Management company with operations across Nigeria and West Africa is seeking an experienced and technically competent Facility Manager to oversee the operations of a large retail facility. This role is ideal for a hands-on facility management professional with strong technical knowledge, excellent leadership capabilities, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality services within complex commercial environments. Key Responsibilities: Lead the day-to-day operations and maintenance of a large retail facility. Manage multidisciplinary teams responsible for electrical, mechanical, plumbing, civil, cleaning, landscaping, security, and other support services. Ensure optimal performance and reliability of critical building systems including HVAC, electrical infrastructure, generators, fire protection systems, plumbing systems, lifts, escalators, and Building Management Systems (BMS). Plan, monitor, and optimise Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) programmes. Ensure compliance with HSE policies, statutory regulations, and industry best practices. Manage contractors, vendors, and service level agreements (SLAs). Develop operational budgets and monitor maintenance costs. Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships. Prepare operational reports and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Estate Management, Building Services, or a related discipline. Minimum of 7 years' relevant experience in facility management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role managing a large commercial, retail, or mixed-use facility. Strong technical knowledge of building systems, preventive maintenance, and facility operations. Experience managing multidisciplinary technical teams and service providers. Sound understanding of HSE standards and regulatory compliance. Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. Professional membership or certifications in facilities management, engineering, or project management will be an added advantage.
