We are seeking an experienced Databricks Architect for a contract onsite role in New York or Los Angeles, CA. The role requires strong data engineering and architecture expertise with hands-on experience in Databricks and modern cloud platforms. Key requirements include 7+ years of experience in data engineering/architecture, 3+ years with Databricks, strong skills in Spark, PySpark, SQL, and distributed data processing, deep knowledge of Delta Lake (ACID transactions, OPTIMIZE, Z-ORDER, Auto Loader), experience with workflow orchestration, jobs, and Databricks REST APIs, and hands-on expertise with at least one cloud platform (Azure preferred: ADF, ADLS, Key Vault, Event Hub, Azure DevOps; or AWS: S3, Glue, Lambda, Kinesis; or GCP: GCS, Dataflow, Pub/Sub).
