We are an inclusive community and welcome families from a variety of Jewish and interfaith backgrounds. Teachers must be able to read and teach vocalized Hebrew smoothly, have basic knowledge of core Shabbat blessings and prayers, engage and inspire students, integrate experiential learning, be team players, innovative and enthusiastic, and have fun while educating. Some background in Judaic studies, knowledge of Jewish holidays, customs, and rituals, and elementary and/or middle school teaching or camp/youth group experience are preferred. Teachers are required to arrive at least 15 minutes before school, submit weekly lesson plans, and attend monthly staff meetings. Teachers are supervised by the Religious School Director.
