In our client's company we are looking for a Calculation Engineer FEM & Structural Analysis (m/f/d) at earliest possible date. Tasks: Conduct structural-mechanical analyses and FEM calculations to evaluate components, assemblies and complex technical systems. Create and optimize calculation models, define boundary conditions and load cases, and evaluate results regarding strength and load-bearing capacity. Develop technical improvement proposals and present calculation results to internal and external contacts. Analyze structural loads, deformations and failure mechanisms, and support numerical as well as analytical calculations. Accompany experiments and tests, and contribute to further development of calculation methods and material models. Qualifications: Completed degree in vehicle engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, computational mechanics or comparable engineering science. Ideally professional experience as Calculation Engineer, Simulation Engineer, FEM Engineer or Development Engineer. Knowledge of FEM calculation, simulation and structural analysis as well as practical experience with HyperMesh, HyperWorks, Ansys or comparable tools. Knowledge of relevant calculation guidelines and methods e.g. FKM guideline or VDI 2230, as well as Linux knowledge are advantageous. Teamwork, analytical thinking, structured working method, and negotiation-level German and English skills in word and writing are important.
