This position is for a Painting and Coating Inspector for a refinery project in Mongolia (out of India). The role involves inspecting and monitoring painting and coating activities for oil and gas projects as per project specifications and international standards. Key responsibilities include surface preparation inspection (blasting, cleaning, profile measurement), inspection of coating materials, storage, mixing, and application procedures, verifying coating parameters (DFT, WFT, curing time, environmental conditions), visual inspection and testing of painted surfaces, use of inspection instruments (DFT gauge, holiday detector, surface profile gauge, hygrometer), ensuring compliance with ITP and client requirements, preparing inspection reports and quality documentation, identifying defects (pinholes, runs, sags, blistering, cracking) and recommending corrective actions, and coordinating with QA/QC engineers, client representatives, and construction teams. Required qualifications include a minimum of 5+ years of experience in Painting and Coating Inspection in Oil & Gas/Refinery/Petrochemical projects, and valid BGAS-CSWIP Painting Inspector / NACE Coating Inspector Level II certification. Experience in overseas projects is an added advantage.
