We are seeking a skilled Data Modeler to support insurance-related data projects based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The role involves designing and maintaining data models for insurance business needs, converting business requirements into clear data structures, and ensuring data models are scalable, efficient, and aligned with standards. Key responsibilities include working with business teams to understand requirements, designing conceptual, logical, and physical data models, analyzing data and suggesting improvements, documenting data models and definitions, collaborating with Data Engineers and IT teams to implement solutions, ensuring data meets security, compliance, and regulatory requirements, supporting data warehouse and data lake initiatives, and staying updated with industry trends and best practices. Requirements include a Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field, a minimum of 5 years of experience in data modeling with insurance experience preferred, knowledge of ACORD as an advantage, familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud, experience with data modeling tools like ERwin or PowerDesigner, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
