Job description
• Role & Company / Project Overview Urgent hiring for an experienced Lead SolidWorks Design Engineer to join a UK-based company and lead the design and engineering of bus shelters and street furniture products. • Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties - Create and review 3D models, assembly drawings, and workshop drawings. - Prepare accurate bills of materials (BOMs). - Maintain drawing standards in line with BS 8888. - Manage SolidWorks PDM, revisions, and drawing approvals. - Work with sheet metal, weldments, and large assemblies. - Lead and mentor the Design Engineer. - Coordinate with the UK design team and workshop. • Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Structural, or Manufacturing Engineering. - Minimum 5 years of commercial SolidWorks experience. - Strong knowledge of sheet metal, weldments, and large assemblies. - Experience with SolidWorks PDM. - Knowledge of steel and aluminium fabrication, welding, laser cutting, and powder coating. - Understanding of BS 8888 or ISO GPS tolerancing. - Experience leading or mentoring a design team. - Additional experience with CSWP/CSWE certification, PDM administration, PEC registration, or street furniture design is an advantage. • Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details - Location: Remote — Karachi, Pakistan. - Working hours: 9 AM–6 PM UK time (currently 2 PM–11 PM Pakistan time). - Employment type: Full-time. • Compensation & Benefits - Salary: PKR 150,000–200,000 per month. • Application Instructions Urgent hiring opportunity.
