Role & Company / Project Overview: Fluid Technology International is hiring a Lead Piping Designer - Assistant Manager to lead piping design activities, engineering design, and technical excellence. Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties: • Lead and mentor piping designers, ensuring design quality and compliance with engineering standards. • Develop and review P&IDs, PFDs, piping layouts, equipment layouts, and detailed engineering drawings for water treatment plants and industrial systems. • Coordinate with project managers and multidisciplinary engineering teams to meet project schedules and deliverables. • Ensure compliance with applicable ASME, API, ANSI, and company QA/QC standards. • Prepare and review 3D piping models, material take-offs (MTOs), bills of quantities (BOQs), and material specifications. • Conduct or coordinate piping stress analysis using appropriate engineering tools. • Provide technical support during fabrication, construction, commissioning, and start-up activities. • Review welding requirements, including Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and Procedure Qualification Records (PQR). • Coordinate with procurement, production, and execution teams to ensure accurate and timely project delivery. • Promote design standardization, continuous improvement, and efficient engineering practices. Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience: • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline. • Relevant experience in piping design, preferably in water treatment, wastewater treatment, industrial plants, or EPC projects. • Experience in team leadership is preferred. • Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD Plant 3D, AVEVA E3D, PDMS, SP3D, or other relevant piping design software. • Knowledge of international piping codes and standards, piping stress analysis, MTOs, and BOQs is required. Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details: • Location: Scheme 33, SITE II, M-9 Phase 2, Near Gulshan-e-Maymar, Karachi, Pakistan. • On-site full-time role.
