Role & Company / Project Overview: Destech Engineering Pvt Ltd is seeking a Piping Designer to join its growing engineering team. The role involves working on challenging, exciting, and diverse industrial engineering projects within the oil & gas, petrochemical, process industries, and power plant projects in a collaborative and dynamic environment that values safety, quality, and integrity. Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties: • Develop 3D models and drawings using AutoCAD Plant 3D. • Prepare Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), piping layouts, isometric drawings, and other design deliverables. • Perform design calculations and ensure compliance with applicable engineering codes and standards. • Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams and resolve technical design issues. • Ensure accuracy, quality, and timely delivery of all design outputs. Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience: • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. • Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience in piping design within oil & gas, petrochemical, or power plant projects. • Software Proficiency: High proficiency in AutoCAD Plant 3D is strictly required. • Technical Knowledge: Strong knowledge of ASME standards including ASME B31.3, ASME B31.1, API, and other applicable codes and standards. • Core Competencies: Experience in piping design projects, design calculations, good communication skills, and ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment. Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details: • Location: Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. • Work setup: Onsite.
