Role & Company / Project Overview: • Position: Senior Designer / Senior Design Engineer • Department: Design & Engineering • Industry: Retail Turnkey Solution Provider / Retail Fit-out Industry • Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced Senior Designer with strong expertise in SolidWorks and AutoCAD for product detailing and development in the retail fit-out industry. The ideal candidate should have sound knowledge of wood and metal materials, hardware, manufacturing processes, and production-ready drawings. Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties: • Develop and detail products, components, and assemblies using SolidWorks and AutoCAD. • Prepare 2D manufacturing drawings, 3D models, assembly drawings, and detailed production drawings. • Identify and select suitable raw materials, fittings, and hardware used in retail fixtures and fit-outs. • Maintain knowledge of wood and metal manufacturing processes, including cutting, drilling, routing, bending, welding, fabrication, and finishing. • Ensure designs are practical, cost-effective, and suitable for manufacturing and installation. • Coordinate with production, fabrication, and project teams to resolve design and technical issues. • Review drawings and specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements. • Support product development, design modifications, and continuous improvement. Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience: • Experience: 5 to 10 Years. • Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD. • Strong knowledge of product design, detailing, and development. • Good understanding of wood, metal, and associated raw materials used in retail fit-outs. • Knowledge of hardware, fittings, fixtures, and assembly methods. • Practical understanding of wood and metal production processes. • Ability to interpret technical drawings and prepare manufacturing-ready documentation. • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and coordination skills. • Industry Experience: Mandatory experience in retail fit-outs, shopfitting, retail fixtures, display units, store interiors, furniture, or custom wood and metal fabrication.
