• Role & Company / Project Overview HIRING: Lead / Senior Backend Java Developer – Agentic AI (Openings: 2 in Jersey City, NJ). We are looking for a strong Lead / Senior Backend Java Developer with hands-on expertise in backend engineering, distributed systems, cloud architecture, and Agentic AI. Engineers who are 70–80% hands-on with coding, architecture, design, and troubleshooting, while also providing technical leadership and mentoring. Candidates must demonstrate real-world experience building production-grade Java applications and implementing Agentic AI workflows—not just list these technologies on their resumes. • Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties - Backend engineering, distributed systems development, and cloud architecture implementation. - Hands-on coding (70–80%), system design, scalability, and performance optimization. - Implement Agentic AI / LLM development with GPT, Claude, or similar models, including AI tool calling, workflow orchestration, and agent state management. - Build event-driven architectures utilizing Apache Kafka. - Design resilient architectures incorporating retries, timeouts, circuit breakers, and idempotency. - Provide technical leadership, conduct code reviews, and mentor team members. - Production troubleshooting and CI/CD operations. • Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience - Core Java, Concurrency, JVM & Design Patterns. - Spring Boot, REST APIs & Microservices. - Apache Kafka – Event-Driven Architecture. - AWS Cloud Services & Production Troubleshooting. - System Design, Scalability & Performance Optimization. - Resilient Architecture – Retries, Timeouts, Circuit Breakers & Idempotency. - Hands-on Agentic AI / LLM Development – GPT, Claude or Similar. - AI Tool Calling, Workflow Orchestration & Agent State Management. - Terraform, Grafana, Splunk & CI/CD. - Secure Coding, TDD & Automated Testing. - Technical Leadership, Code Reviews & Mentoring. - Visa Requirement: USC / GC / GC EAD (W2 ONLY).
