The Safety Officer ensures workplace compliance with OSH standards, monitors worker safety conditions on-site, provides warnings, stops work when unsafe actions or deviations from procedures are identified, and reports incidents. Responsibilities include performing safety patrols, correcting unsafe acts, safety education, and exercising stop work authority. Candidates must understand construction workflows, safety standards, and hazard prediction. Qualifications include a Bachelor degree in Engineering, 10 years of safety-related experience, minimum 3 years abroad or with a Japanese company, and certificates such as OSHA, COSH, BOSH, NEBOSH, or IOSH. Japanese language certificate is an advantage. Contract based in Japan.
