Job Selection is recruiting a Junior Sous Chef – Pastry for a leading ocean cruise company. The role requires previous experience as a Pastry Chef or equivalent, with cruise ship experience highly advantageous. Candidates with 5-star hotel or luxury hospitality background are encouraged. Responsibilities include leading pastry and bakery operations, covering the Sous Chef – Pastry in their absence, ensuring highest food quality and presentation standards, coaching and mentoring team members, managing inventory, ordering, cost control, creating work schedules, and ensuring compliance with USPH, Health, Safety, and Environmental policies. Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management or equivalent in Culinary Arts, cruise line experience at Pastry Chef level, fluency in English, expertise in fine dining desserts, chocolate work, viennoiserie, buffet presentations, ice creams, sorbets, and modern pastry techniques, manpower scheduling, cost management, and food safety regulations. Salary: USD 2,100 per month. Working on a rotational schedule on ocean cruise vessels. EU nationals only.
