Innovative Product Design Engineer needed for an R&D team in Indonesia, focusing on sustainable polymer compositions and product design. Responsibilities include developing and optimizing unique polymer compositions for high-performance applications, researching and integrating advanced materials, designing efficient products using CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD), conducting simulations and finite element analysis (FEA) to ensure product reliability, performing physical, chemical, and mechanical tests on new polymer formulations, developing prototypes and testing compliance with industry standards (ASTM, ISO), collaborating with cross-functional teams (manufacturing, quality assurance, supply chain), liaising with external partners including material suppliers and research institutions, preparing technical reports and presentations, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field; minimum 2 years in product design and development with polymer compositions (lower experience considered on a case-by-case basis, fresh graduates welcome); in-depth knowledge of polymer chemistry, material properties, and processing techniques; expertise in sustainable materials and eco-friendly product design; proficiency in CAD, FEA, and technical drawing; strong background in laboratory testing for polymers (DSC, TGA, FTIR); excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills; ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
