Role & Company / Project Overview: Globtier Infotech, a leading IT services company, is hiring experienced professionals for the position of Desktop Support Engineer – L1 across multiple PAN India locations for immediate onboarding. Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties: • Provide comprehensive L1 desktop, EUC, and IT support to end-users. • Perform desktop and hardware troubleshooting, system diagnostics, and repairs. • Handle Windows OS installation, setup, and software configuration. • Manage Outlook, PST/OST issues, Microsoft 365, and OneDrive configurations. • Administer Active Directory, Domain/Workgroup, and Group Policy settings. • Configure and troubleshoot network settings including DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP. • Execute network troubleshooting utilizing diagnostic commands such as ipconfig, nslookup, ping, and tracert. • Perform printer configuration, setup, and hardware troubleshooting. • Execute VPN installation, remote access support, and troubleshooting. • Conduct basic firewall troubleshooting. • Carry out physical network cabling tasks, including LAN cable punching, crimping, and colour coding. • Oversee vendor coordination, incident management, and ticket tracking. • Provide professional end-user handling with effective customer communication. Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience: • 2 to 5 years of relevant Desktop Support / EUC Support experience. • Strong working knowledge of Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems. • Solid understanding of Active Directory, Group Policy, and domain environments. • Hands-on expertise in Microsoft 365, Outlook email support, and OneDrive. • Functional knowledge of TCP/IP networking, DNS, DHCP, and basic firewall principles. • Practical proficiency in LAN cabling, punching, crimping, and colour coding standards. • Excellent communication and end-user handling skills. • Prior experience working with ServiceNow or ITSM platforms is an added advantage.
