CHANGE Illinois and the CHANGE Illinois Action Fund are seeking a passionate and dedicated Interim Executive Director to lead the nonpartisan organization's good government and voting rights initiatives and continue our mission to achieve an equitable democracy in Illinois as we transition into a new phase and search for a permanent Executive Director. The successful candidate will oversee a team of two full-time employees and one part-time employee, assist the board in preparing to hire a permanent Executive Director, and handle weekly team meetings, coalition calls, coaching, finances, donor outreach, press requests, and external communications. The ideal candidate has experience collaborating with community leaders, legislators, lobbyists, and government officials, nonprofit management for 5+ years, managing staff and budgets, working independently, maintaining donor relationships, and preparing the organization for the next executive director. This is a fully remote temporary position until a permanent Executive Director is hired.
