Role & Company / Project Overview: SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre invites applications from senior surgical specialists for the position of Professor in the Department of General Surgery. Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties: • Lead surgical teams in performing elective, urgent, and complex surgical procedures. • Lead surgical outpatient clinics, ward rounds, and perioperative patient management. • Direct undergraduate and postgraduate surgical curriculum, bedside clinical teaching, and operative skill training. • Mentor postgraduates, oversee surgical clinical research, and publish in indexed medical journals. • Participate in departmental governance, medical quality initiatives, and administrative meetings. Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience: • MS / DNB in General Surgery from a recognized medical institution. • Extensive teaching and surgical experience conforming to NMC/MCI standards for the rank of Professor. • Notable record of research and surgical publications in recognized peer-reviewed journals. Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details: • Location: SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre, Kattankulathur / Chennai, Chengalpattu District, Tamil Nadu, India. • Work Setup: Full-time hospital and medical college appointment.
