We are looking for an experienced Applications Architect 2 to join a major modernization initiative focused on transforming legacy, paper-based processes into a secure, scalable electronic data exchange platform. Location: Austin, TX (Onsite). Duration: 12+ Months. Key Skills Required: C#/.NET, Java Enterprise, or similar enterprise application frameworks; REST/SOAP Web Services; XML & JSON Data Exchange; Software Architecture & SOA Design Patterns; CI/CD Pipeline Implementation; Unix/Linux Shell Scripting; SQL Server, Oracle, DB2; Application Security, Encryption & Authorization; Technical Leadership & Code Reviews; Integration with Enterprise Data Warehouses; System Architecture Documentation & Data Flow Modeling; Complex Integration Testing & Troubleshooting. Preferred: Experience with NASWA SIDES (State Information Data Exchange System); Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) experience. This role will serve as the primary technical lead, driving architecture decisions, mentoring development teams, defining technical standards, and ensuring successful delivery of a mission-critical modernization program.
