Role & Company / Project Overview: We are hiring for a contract role as a Base Software Developer (Cyber Security) located onsite in Auburn Hills, MI. This role focuses on automotive cybersecurity and embedded software development for automotive ECUs and microcontrollers. Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties: • Develop and maintain embedded software (C/C++) for automotive ECUs and microcontrollers. • Design, implement, and integrate cybersecurity features into base software platforms. • Configure and enable secure hardware peripherals (HSM, CSM). • Develop and validate secure bootloader implementations. • Implement security mechanisms: Secure Boot, Secure Flash, Secure Diagnostics, Message Authentication. • Collaborate with system, architecture, and validation teams to ensure compliance with automotive cybersecurity requirements. • Troubleshoot and resolve security-related software integration issues. • Support software testing, verification, and certification activities. Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience: • Strong experience in embedded software development (C/C++). • Hands-on with HSM/CSM integration in microcontrollers. • Secure Bootloader implementation experience. • Knowledge of cryptography concepts and secure communication in embedded systems. • Automotive microcontrollers and low-level software development. • Debugging and troubleshooting embedded software. • AUTOSAR Classic Platform (MCAL, BSW, Crypto Stack). • Automotive communication protocols (CAN, CAN-FD, LIN, Ethernet). • Familiarity with ISO 21434, UNECE WP.29 R155/R156. • Secure key management, PKI concepts. • Experience with Infineon AURIX, NXP, Renesas, STMicroelectronics. • UDS diagnostics and secure diagnostic access. • CI/CD tools (Git, Jenkins). • Cybersecurity testing, vulnerability analysis, penetration testing.
