We are hiring an experienced Java Backend Developer for a long-term contract opportunity with Morgan Stanley. Location: Alpharetta, GA. Duration: Long-Term Contract. Visa: US Citizens and Green Card Holders Only. For Green Card candidates: DOB must be before 1988. Required Experience: 10+ years of hands-on Java development experience, strong expertise in Core Java and Object-Oriented Programming, extensive experience with Multi-threading and Concurrency, strong knowledge of Java Collections Framework including HashMap, ConcurrentHashMap, Concurrent Collections. Technical Skills: Java, Spring Boot, Microservices Architecture, RESTful API Development, Apache Kafka, SQL Development and Database Performance Tuning, Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL, Design Patterns and Software Engineering Best Practices, Git, Maven, Jenkins, and CI/CD Pipelines. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend applications; build scalable microservices using Java and Spring Boot; develop Kafka-based event-driven solutions; design and support REST APIs; optimize SQL queries and database performance; implement multi-threaded and concurrent programming solutions; participate in code reviews and architecture discussions; collaborate with business, QA, and development teams; troubleshoot and resolve production issues. Preferred Qualifications: Financial Services / Banking domain experience, Cloud experience (AWS/Azure), Docker and Kubernetes exposure, Agile/Scrum experience. Must-Have Skills: Core Java, Multi-Threading, ConcurrentHashMap / Collections, Spring Boot, Microservices, Kafka Messaging, REST APIs, Strong SQL, Financial Domain Experience (Preferred).
