Role & Company / Project Overview: CSCEC Egypt (China State Construction Engineering Corporation) is hiring a Quantity Surveyor / Contract Engineer to join the commercial and construction team for the Long March Tyre Egypt Co. Ltd. – Phase I TBR Plant Civil Construction Project located in Ain Sokhna. Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties: • Assist the Commercial Manager in carrying out the complete tendering process. • Handle the preparation and signing of local subcontract and procurement agreements in Egypt. • Perform quantity take-offs, review subcontractors' monthly quantity statements, and evaluate payment applications. • Prepare, review, and independently manage Bills of Quantities (BOQs). • Subcontract tendering, market enquiries, quotation evaluation, and commercial comparisons. • Conduct preliminary commercial negotiations and coordinate contract preparation and execution. • Administer contract documentation, manage variations, and maintain organized contractual records. Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience: • Education: Bachelor's degree or above in Civil Engineering, Building Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline. • Experience: 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in civil subcontract administration and contract management. • Solid familiarity with applicable requirements, tendering and procurement procedures, and industry practices for construction contracts and subcontract administration in Egypt. • Relevant construction project experience in Egypt is preferred. • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and AutoCAD. • Personal Attributes: Strong attention to detail, a rigorous and structured approach to work, strong organizational skills, high sense of responsibility, and capacity to work effectively within an engineering project team. Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details: • Project Location: Plot C1-1, North West Gulf of Suez Economic Zone, TEDA, Ain Sokhna, Suez Governorate, Egypt. • Work setup: Onsite industrial construction project.
