Role & Company / Project Overview Wavestone Germany AG is looking for a Senior Zero Trust Transformation & Governance Lead (m/w/d) (Ref.Nr.: 47906) for a long-term client project based in Zürich, Switzerland. As a leading management consultancy for strategic transformations, Wavestone connects top-tier industry expertise with cross-industry competencies, partnering closely with clients and specialists to staff vital project vacancies. Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties • Formulate program charter and scope, defining addressed risks and intended business outcomes. • Establish governance and decision-making structures, integrating sponsors, steering committees, architecture, risk, compliance, data protection, internal audit, as well as platform and application owners. • Align and integrate regulatory requirements, especially FINMA and DORA, into the zero trust program orientation. • Orchestrate capability and maturity assessments, collaborating with architects to derive risk-based target maturity levels that account for business process and asset criticality. • Develop a phased roadmap with waves and milestones, incorporating dependencies on existing initiatives and coordinating implementation across IAM, cloud, network, endpoint, and applications. • Define an impactful KPI measurement model that extends beyond basic tool counting to encompass access, authentication, privileged access, unmanaged devices, service identities, and policy enforcement. • Prepare a scaling model for the overall program, detailing necessary workstreams, roles, budget/resource requirements, and transitioning from an initial core unit into a comprehensive program. Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience • 5 to 8 years of professional experience in banking or comparable heavily regulated financial institutions at the intersection of Cyber Security, IT Risk, and IT Governance, including leadership of major transformations. • Profound technical and strategic understanding of Zero Trust principles, with the ability to translate them into risk-based, outcome-oriented program goals, roadmaps, and governance frameworks. • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities to articulate complex security topics clearly to business units, non-security IT, and executive management. • Open personality with rapid comprehension skills. • Business fluent proficiency in both German and English (spoken and written). • Preferred (Kann-Anforderungen): Concrete hands-on experience managing Zero Trust programs and/or DORA/EU regulatory implementation projects within the financial sector. Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details • Location: Zürich, Switzerland. • Remote Policy: Hybrid/Remote work is possible, strictly within Switzerland only. • Workload/Pensum: 100% full-time allocation. • Timeline & Duration: Start date November 2026 (23.11.2026) through February 2028 (approx. 15 months), with an option for contract extension.
