Role & Company / Project Overview Wavestone Germany AG is seeking a Senior Java DevOps Engineer (m/w/d) specialized in Azure, Kubernetes, and Digital Banking (Ref.Nr.: 47930) for a long-term project at a client site in Zürich. As a leading management consultancy for strategic transformations, Wavestone connects first-class industry expertise with cross-industry competencies, partnering closely with partner companies and freelancers to staff project vacancies directly and promptly. Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties • Develop and enhance self-developed services within the DevOps team and ensure their stable operation • Verify developed solutions against internal and external security standards, and continuously improve and advance operational processes • Conceptually contribute to services and actively shape their design • Advise business departments on feasibility, solution alternatives, and technical opinion-forming • Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Business Engineers, and Architecture to devise optimal solutions Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience • 5 to 8 years of professional experience as a Senior Java DevOps Engineer with a focus on Azure, Kubernetes, and Digital Banking • Proficient knowledge of Java and backend stack technologies: Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA, and Kotlin • Strong cloud developer competencies in Azure, Kubernetes, Helm, and PostgreSQL • Proven capability to verify developed solutions against internal and external security standards and improve operational processes • Solid frontend stack knowledge in TypeScript, Angular, HTML5, and CSS3 • Demonstrated ability to further develop and maintain self-developed services in a DevOps team • Extensive experience in close collaboration with Product Owners, Business Engineers, and IT architects • Strong conceptual design skills and experience consulting business stakeholders on technical feasibility • Practical experience working within an agile DevOps team operating under the SAFe framework • Open personality with rapid comprehension skills • Business fluent proficiency in German and English, both spoken and written Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details • Start Date: 01.11.2026 • Duration: 24 Months (November 2026 to October 2028, with extension option) • Workload: 100% • Location: Zürich, Switzerland • Remote details: Partial remote possible strictly within Switzerland Application Instructions Apply directly via the official job link or reach out to the designated contact partner at Wavestone.
