• Role & Company / Project Overview MindMerge Tech is hiring an experienced SCM to Panvalet Migration Specialist with strong Mainframe, Git, DevOps, and modernization expertise to lead the migration from legacy SCM platforms such as Panvalet to Git-based platforms. Engagement is on a remote C2C (Corp-to-Corp) basis in the USA. • Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties - Lead end-to-end SCM migration from Panvalet to Git, including COBOL, JCL & DB2 source extraction and repository onboarding. - Design target architecture across developer tools, SCM, CI/CD, and mainframe execution. - Define Git branching strategies, repository structure, versioning, access controls, and governance. - Build CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and/or Jenkins. - Implement mainframe builds using DBB / Zowe CLI. - Automate deployments to z/OS environments. - Integrate Zowe CLI, Zowe Explorer, DBB YAML, and Groovy with VS Code. - Develop DBB YAML-based pipelines for COBOL, PL/I, JCL, and DB2. - Create architecture documentation, migration runbooks, and operational procedures. - Train and mentor development, QA, and operations teams. - Troubleshoot and continuously improve pipelines and developer experience. - Advise leadership and stakeholders on mainframe modernization strategies. • Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience - 12+ years of Mainframe Development / Architecture experience. - Strong z/OS experience. - Proven Panvalet / Endevor / Changeman to Git migration experience. - Hands-on experience with GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket. - Experience with GitHub Actions and/or Jenkins. - Deep familiarity with DBB, Zowe CLI & Mainframe DevOps. - Proficient in COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, JES & USS. - Experience with SonarQube or similar code quality and security tools. - Strong scripting skills in Shell, Python, or Groovy. • Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details - Engagement: C2C contract. - Location: Remote – USA. • Compensation & Benefits - Contract engagement rates as agreed upon. • Application Instructions - Interested candidates can share their updated resume via email.
