### Role & Company / Project Overview Velansys is hiring experienced Cloud Native Enterprise Architects / Senior Solution Architects to advise customers and define, deliver, and optimize hybrid-cloud strategies and cloud-native solutions for complex enterprise environments, driving enterprise-level cloud transformation initiatives. ### Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties - Lead the architecture and design of cloud-native solutions aligned with business requirements. - Advise, develop, integrate, and implement solutions ensuring interoperability, security, and data governance. - Provide architectural oversight for design, deployment, and lifecycle management. - Collaborate with business leaders to translate enterprise requirements into scalable architectures. - Ensure compliance with industry standards (ISO, GDPR) and best practices for security, data privacy, and resilience. - Mentor and provide technical leadership to delivery teams. - Develop and maintain architectural documentation (blueprints, guidelines, best practices). - Monitor industry trends to drive continuous improvement. ### Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience - Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred). - Experience: Senior-level experience in IT architecture with a focus on cloud-native solutions, plus a proven track record of architecting and deploying large-scale cloud-native solutions. - Cloud-Native Platforms & Containers: Deep knowledge of Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenShift, SUSE Rancher, Rafay; cluster design/architecture, multi-tenancy, networking, storage, security, high availability, resilience, observability, upgrades, and workload lifecycle management. - Platform Engineering & DevOps: Practical knowledge of GitOps, CI/CD, DevSecOps, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible), Policy as Code, Secrets Management, Service Mesh, Container Registries, and SRE practices. - Hybrid Cloud & Infrastructure: Virtualization expertise (VMware, KVM, Hyper-V, Nutanix), Software-Defined Networking (SDN), Software-Defined Storage (SDS), enterprise workload migration, and cloud transformation. - Enterprise Architecture & Leadership: Deep background in compute and cost optimization, cloud security, GDPR and ISO compliance, business continuity, risk management, stakeholder management, and technical leadership. - Preferred Skills & Certifications: CKA, CKS, RHCA, TOGAF or equivalent Enterprise Architecture certifications; practical experience in enterprise/solution architecture; industry experience in FSI, MDI, CME, etc.; familiarity with enterprise workload migrations from VMware to alternative virtualization platforms and containers; understanding of AI / GenAI security implications. ### Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details - Location: UK Remote - Work Arrangement: Remote - Eligibility: Candidates eligible to live and work in the UK preferred ### Compensation & Benefits - Job Type: Contractor ### Application Instructions Interested candidates who are a great fit can apply by sharing their updated CV.
