### Role & Company / Project Overview We are hiring an experienced PostgreSQL Database Administrator (Postgres DBA) with 6 to 8 years of dedicated experience to design, manage, and support large-scale, mission-critical PostgreSQL infrastructure. ### Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties - Perform end-to-end database administration, routine maintenance, vacuuming, analyzing, reindexing, and security patching. - Execute logical and physical database backups, restores, and Point-in-Time Recovery (PITR). - Plan and execute seamless PostgreSQL minor and major version upgrades. - Configure, manage, and monitor database replication, High Availability (HA), and Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies. - Perform deep-dive performance tuning, query optimization, and production troubleshooting on high-transaction environments. - Oversee infrastructure deployment and operations across multi-terabyte production databases. - Automate routine administrative, operational, and maintenance tasks using scripting languages. ### Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience - Experience: 6–8 years of professional PostgreSQL database administration experience. - In-depth architectural knowledge of PostgreSQL internals. - Proven expertise with High Availability and Disaster Recovery tools, specifically pgBackRest, repmgr, and Pgpool. - Cloud platform proficiency with AWS (RDS/EC2) and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP). - Containerization experience with Kubernetes, Amazon EKS, and/or Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE). - Strong scripting and automation skills utilizing Shell scripting and/or Python. - Extensive track record managing multi-terabyte, high-transaction production PostgreSQL databases. ### Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details - Location: Sunnyvale, California, United States. ### Application Instructions Interested candidates who match the profile requirements are invited to share their updated resume via email.
