Job description
Role & Company / Project Overview: We are hiring an experienced PostgreSQL Database Administrator (PostgreSQL DBA) with 5 to 7 years of overall experience to manage, optimize, and support enterprise database environments. Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties: • Provide 24x7 production database support across critical database systems • Handle PostgreSQL installation, configuration, and administration • Perform database performance and query tuning to ensure optimal speed and reliability • Execute backup and recovery strategies to maintain data integrity • Manage high availability (HA) configurations and database replication • Lead database design, table partitioning, and schema management • Carry out routine patching, major/minor upgrades, and proactive capacity planning • Utilize Linux and shell scripting for automation and system management • Administer databases hosted across AWS and Azure cloud environments Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience: • Total Experience: 5–7 years • Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience specifically as a PostgreSQL DBA • In-depth expertise in PostgreSQL installation, configuration, and core administration • Proven skills in performance and query tuning, backup and recovery, and HA/replication • Strong background in database design, partitioning, schema management, patching, and capacity planning • Proficient in Linux operating systems and shell scripting • Practical knowledge and working experience with AWS and Azure cloud platforms • Demonstrated capability in 24x7 production database support • Knowledge of Oracle, MS SQL, DB2, ClickHouse, or Neo4J is considered an added advantage Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details: • Location: Bangalore, Karnataka, India • Shift: 24x7 production support environment Application & Interview Details: • 1st Round: Virtual Interview • 2nd Round: Face-to-Face Interview • Interested candidates can apply by submitting their updated resume.
