Role & Company / Project Overview: We are hiring a Data Scientist for a contract (W2) role based in Sunnyvale, CA. The position focuses on machine learning model development, catalog intelligence, and large-scale data processing. Relocation is acceptable for this role. Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties: • Develop and deploy ML models using Python & SQL. • Build NLP solutions for product classification and attribute extraction. • Work on product matching, deduplication, and catalog enrichment. • Process and analyze large datasets using Spark / PySpark. • Apply LLMs, GenAI & embeddings to improve catalog intelligence. • Collaborate with engineering and product teams. Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience: • 6+ years of relevant experience. • Strong Python, SQL & Machine Learning experience. • Hands-on experience with NLP, text classification & embeddings. • Spark / PySpark and large-scale data processing. • Proficiency in Scikit-learn, PyTorch or TensorFlow. • Experience deploying ML models into production. • Work Authorization: Green Card, U.S. Citizen, or H-4 EAD. Preferred Skills: • E-commerce / Retail Catalog experience. • Experience with LLMs / GenAI. • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms – GCP / AWS / Azure.
