• Role & Company / Project Overview We are looking for an experienced Data Center Project Manager – MEP with strong Mechanical & Electrical / Mission Critical project experience to oversee MEP Construction & Infrastructure Refresh projects in live, operational data center environments. Please note that this is strictly a physical Data Center MEP role, NOT an IT, Software, Application, Network, or Telecom Project Manager position. • Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties - Manage MEP construction, critical facility infrastructure, and infrastructure refresh projects from initiation to handover. - Oversee HVAC / cooling systems, UPS, generators, PDUs / power distribution, controls, and BMS. - Lead testing & commissioning activities within live/operational data center environments. - Handle construction, vendor, and contractor management effectively. - Manage CAPEX budgets, project scope, schedules, risk mitigation, and change management. - Coordinate the operational readiness and seamless handover to Data Center Operations. - Ensure all projects comply with safety, regulatory standards, and operational guidelines. • Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience - 5–10+ years of experience managing MEP or Mission Critical Construction Projects. - Strong Data Center / Critical Facility experience. - Extensive experience managing large-scale projects, vendors, and budgets. - Demonstrated experience with safety, compliance, and operational readiness. - In-depth expertise in primary skills: Data Center / Mission Critical Project Management, MEP Construction & Infrastructure Refresh, HVAC / Cooling Systems, UPS, Generators, PDUs / Power Distribution, Controls / BMS, Testing & Commissioning, Critical Facility Infrastructure, Vendor/Contractor Management, CAPEX/Budget Management, Scope/Schedule/Risk/Change Management, Live/Operational Data Center Environment, and Handover to Operations. - Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred. - Financial Services / Financial Data Center experience is preferred. - Updated LinkedIn profile required. • Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details - Location: Somerset, New Jersey (Hybrid role). - On-site requirement: Minimum 4 days per week visiting NY/NJ data center construction sites. - Local candidates only (NY/NJ area). - Position duration: 12+ Months. - Interview requirement: In-person interview required. • Compensation & Benefits - Contract duration: 12+ Months (Compensation not specified). • Application Instructions - Interested candidates should submit an updated resume along with their current Visa status.
