### Role & Company / Project Overview Nityo is hiring an experienced Data Scientist with strong expertise in Machine Learning, statistical modeling, NLP, and personalization algorithms. This opportunity is suited for professionals who enjoy working with large datasets, building predictive models, running experiments, and turning data into meaningful business insights. ### Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties - Perform hands-on data analysis and modeling on large datasets. - Apply data mining, NLP, and supervised/unsupervised machine learning to improve relevance and personalization algorithms. - Collaborate with Product Managers, Software Engineers, and Designers to develop experiments and minimum viable products (MVPs). - Identify, access, extract, clean, and transform data through hands-on ETL. - Engineer and optimize features to improve model performance. - Design and execute A/B tests, perform statistical analysis, and measure the impact of optimizations. - Communicate analytical findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Explore emerging technologies and identify opportunities to improve customer experiences. ### Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience - BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, or a related technical field. - 4+ years of industry experience in Data Science and Machine Learning. - Strong Python programming skills with scikit-learn. - Proficiency in SQL, Hive, SparkSQL, or similar technologies. - Hands-on experience with statistical modeling and applied machine learning, including: • Classification and Regression • Decision Trees and Neural Networks • Recommender Systems • Sequential Pattern Discovery • Text Mining and NLP - Experience with Deep Learning and embedding-based representations for NLP, language understanding, recommendation, and personalization. - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. ### Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details - Location: San Diego, California, United States - Work Model: Hybrid (3 days onsite) ### Application Instructions Please submit your updated resume as instructed, mentioning Data Scientist – California in the subject line.
