Job description
Role & Company / Project Overview: We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Scientist (Position ID: #290) for our client, FINRA, with strong expertise in Python, statistics, machine learning, and interactive data visualization. Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties: - Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models. - Conduct rigorous statistical analysis and validate findings. - Build interactive dashboards to communicate actionable insights. - Explore GenAI solutions for analytics and business processes. - Collaborate with stakeholders and lead end-to-end project delivery. - Deploy and maintain models in cloud environments. - Mentor junior team members and support data science best practices. Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience: Key Required Skills: - Python: Advanced development for analytics, modeling, and automation - Statistics: Hypothesis testing, experimental design, and statistical validation - Machine Learning: Building, evaluating, and deploying production ML models - pandas & SQL: Data manipulation, querying, and transformation - Plotly & Plotly Dash: Interactive dashboards and production-grade visualizations - PySpark: Large-scale distributed data processing - Cloud: AWS, Azure, or GCP for data processing and model deployment - Communication & Stakeholder Management: Presenting insights and aligning business and technical teams Preferred Skills: - Generative AI, LLMs, and prompt engineering - Graph databases, graph analytics, and network analysis - MLOps, model monitoring, and lifecycle management - Financial services or other regulated-industry experience Education: - Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field. Master’s or PhD preferred.
