Role & Company / Project Overview: We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst – Data Governance to support enterprise data governance initiatives for a Virginia state government client. This is a hybrid position requiring 2 days onsite per week in Richmond, Virginia. All visas are open except GC. Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties: • Drive and support enterprise data governance initiatives for a state government client. • Elicit, document, and manage detailed business and technical requirements across diverse stakeholder groups. • Establish, document, and maintain comprehensive data lineage and enterprise data catalogs. • Formulate, develop, and implement rigorous data policies, governance standards, and operational procedures. • Perform complex data analysis, querying, and validation to ensure optimal data quality and consistency. • Collaborate with engineering and architectural teams on relational database systems and enterprise data warehousing initiatives. Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience: • 10+ years of Data Analysis experience • 10+ years of Data Lineage / Cataloging experience • 10+ years of Data Policy / Procedure Creation experience • 10+ years of SQL experience • 10+ years of Data Warehouse experience • 10+ years of Requirements Elicitation experience • 7+ years of experience with relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, Snowflake, etc.) • Preferred: Experience in government, healthcare, or regulated environments • Preferred: Knowledge of DAMA-DMBOK, DCAM, BPMN, Lean, or Six Sigma frameworks • Preferred: Familiarity with AWS, Snowflake, and VITA standards Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details: • Location: Richmond, Virginia, United States • Work Arrangement: Hybrid (2 days onsite per week) Compensation & Benefits: • Compensation details are not specified.
