Job description

• Role & Company / Project Overview: An experienced Commodity Buyer specializing in Metals, Mechanism, and Fasteners is needed to join a dynamic Purchasing / Supply Chain team in an Automotive Tier 1 industry environment in Pune. This role is focused on driving new program launches, optimizing costs, and collaborating across cross-functional teams. • Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties: - Lead sourcing activities from RFQ to SOP for new automotive programs. - Drive VAVE initiatives, achieve YOY cost savings, and manage supplier rebate agreements. - Collaborate closely with Engineering and Program Management to ensure on-time, on-cost delivery. - Handle import suppliers worldwide and manage global sourcing RFQs. - Negotiate commercial terms and manage cost fluctuations for key commodities. • Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience: - 5-8 years of experience in Automotive Purchasing with proven expertise in new program launches. - Strong experience with stamping parts, fasteners, latches, hinges, casting, and forging. - Skilled in VAVE workshops, should-cost analysis, and rebate management. - Familiarity with APQP, PPAP, IATF 16949, SAP MM, and engineering change processes. - Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management, and communication skills. • Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details: - Location: Pune, Maharashtra, India (Automotive Tier 1 industry). - Onsite working model. • Application Instructions: - Interested candidates should apply by sharing their updated CV / resume or reaching out via the provided official contact details.
