Role & Company / Project Overview: We are hiring experienced Kong Administrators with strong hands-on expertise in Kong API Gateway and API Management. This is a full-time opportunity specifically for candidates who are immediate joiners. Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties: • Install, configure, administer, and maintain Kong API Gateway environments. • Manage Kong Services, Routes, Upstreams, Targets, and Plugins. • Perform Kong configuration, deployment, upgrades, and ongoing maintenance activities. • Monitor API Gateway health, performance, availability, and traffic flow. • Troubleshoot API Gateway, network connectivity, and configuration-related issues. • Implement and manage robust API security policies including OAuth 2.0, JWT, and API Keys. • Work extensively with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK. • Support production incidents and perform root-cause analysis. • Work closely with Development, DevOps, Infrastructure, and Security teams. • Ensure high availability, reliability, and performance across all Kong environments. • Maintain detailed documentation for configurations, deployments, and operational procedures. Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience: • Total Experience: 3 to 12 Years. • Strong hands-on expertise in Kong API Gateway / Kong APIM. • Proven experience with Kong Enterprise and Kong OSS. • Solid understanding of Kong Services, Routes, and Plugins. • In-depth knowledge of Kong Gateway Administration, Configuration, Deployment, and Kong Hybrid Mode. • Proficiency in API Security implementations (OAuth 2.0, JWT, API Keys). • Experience in monitoring, troubleshooting, production support, and incident management. • Good to Have Skills: Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, Cloud Platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP), Lua scripting, Prometheus / Grafana / ELK stack, and broader API Management & Enterprise Integration knowledge.
